“I’m a fan of science. I believe in science. I’m… humility before the facts… I find that a moving and beautiful thing. And belief in the unknown, I find less interesting. I find the known and the knowable interesting enough.”

House star Hugh Laurie, discussing whether or not he shares his character’s skeptical streak, on Inside the Actors Studio.

    Um… I completely… something that statement…?

And I completely… something… your lack of available verbiage. 🙂

    Great quote.

I’ve been a fan of Hugh Laurie for years. He was a staple of British T.V. for a long time before becoming the delightfully despicable Dr. House on American T.V., in shows like Jeeves and Wooster, Blackadder, and A Bit of Fry and Laurie.

I posted a clip from the last of those on my blog last year called The Hedge Sketch which is well worth a look, though don’t be shocked by his English accent!
